In the programme this week we look at the Silver Ferns struggles, catch up with the Phoenix and the Breakers as they prepare to begin new seasons and talk Bathurst with Greg Murphy. We also hear from the Black Caps before their upcoming tour and chat to the BMX rider Sarah Walker about her road to recovery from injury.

In Extra Time this week it's finals time in the National Rugby Leage and the Warriors are there albeit it in the junior final. The Bulldogs CEO and former head of Netball NZ Raelene Castle shares her thoughts on being part of the finals buildup and her time with the club so far. Where to now for the Silver Ferns in the wake of yet another loss to Australia? The former Wallabies coach Robbie Deans still wants to coach the All Blacks. Ben Sigmund calls time on his All Whites career while Jeetan Patel still wants to be part of the Black Caps after being named English county cricket's most valuable player.

In the programme this week we look at the All Blacks week in Argentina leading up to the test against the Pumas. We check in with Irene van Dyk who's announced her international swansong and catch up on New Zealand's latest successes in sailing. We talk to Stacey Jones about the Junior Warriors' chances in this week's preliminary final and check out the newest piece of technology in use at Auckland Cricket's headquarters.

In Extra Time this week All Blacks coach Steve Hansen calls for the rugby rule book to be thrown out, the All Blacks and Samoa agree on a date, while Gentleman Jean de Villiers celebrates 100th test for the Springboks. The Wellington Phoenix finally get their man, with midfielder Michael McGlinchey cleared to play. Racing clamps down on betting by jockeys, the Black Sticks veteran Krystal Forgesson call it quits after 220 test caps. Is the end nigh for boxer Shane Cameron? while NRL rugby league scouts descend on south Auckland.

In Extra Time this week, Radio New Zealand Sport asks the All Blacks what they think of Argentina and how long will it be before they lose to them. Black Caps coach Mike Hesson has extended his contract with the national cricket side, but how long does he think he'll stay with them. It's been a successful week for a number of New Zealand athletes on the world stage... rowing, athletics and triathlon have all been in the news and we hear from some medals winner. The Geraldine driver Hayden Paddon has had an encouraging start to his WRC career, but he wants more at next week's Rally Australia.

In Extra Time with Stephen Hewson this week... the Tall Blacks begin their world cup campaign with Kirk Penney back after after a two year break from international duty. Are the Warriors still in playoff contention? Captain Simon Mannering vents his frustration at his NRL season continually finishing early. Rowers Hamish Bond and Eric Murray chase a rare double at the rowing world champs. We catch up with Hamish Carter ten years after his historic win in the triathlon at Athens and ask him why New Zealand's no longer at the top of the triathlon tree. Northern Districts suffer a double blow ahead of the Champions League Twenty 20 cricket competition.

In the programme this week we hear from Cory Jane before the second Bledisloe Cup test; talk football with the Phoenix and the All Whites new coach and we catch up with Mahe Drysdale for the World Rowing Championships. We also look at the New Zealand swim team who are aiming to improve at the Pan Pacific Championships and talk to the New Zealand tennis player, Artem Sitak, about his US Open campaign.

In Extra Time this week we wrap up a very successful Commonwealth Games for New Zealand and hear from more of our medal winners as well as those administrating sports. The Hamilton teenager David Nyika won gold in the boxing ring, while the evergreen Nick Willis claimed a bronze medal in the 1500 metres, however he was disappointed not to get more. What now for some our successful and not so successful sports. We also hear from one of Scotland's greatest ever athletes, the sprinter Allan Wells. Anthony Hudson has been confirmed as the new All Whites coach, we get an insight about the young Englishman and what he's got planned for the national side. And good news for the New Zealand equestrian Jock Paget, who has been cleared of doping charges, allowing him to compete at the World Equestrian Games.
