UNITED SIKHS was founded in 1999 by 3 Sikh Americans who wanted to not only serve the local community but also wanted people to get to know more about Sikhism and who are Sikhs in this part of the world, the United States.

Clive Williams served his New York community as a Behavior Therapist/Counselor for over 15 years, specializing in Hypnotherapy, Behavior Modification & Stress Management. He founded P.S.P Counseling Services Inc., in 1993 in Jamaica Estates, Queens, New York, which he directed until his retirement from Counseling. Clive completed an in service tutorial program designed for Counselors, Pastors & Social Workers at Harvard University in 1994, under the direction of Dr. Herbert Benson, Director of the Mind/Body Medicine Center at Deaconess Hospital Center in Boston He is also a licensed Minister & Marriage Officer in the State of New York. ----https://gowhereitzat.com/

On this episode of Our World Hour of Power we talk with Sharon Robinson who is the CEO of Women Veteran Logistic ServicesBorn in Brookhaven, New York and grew up in Gordon Heights amongst her siblings including 8 brothers and 3 sisters by her community active parents. Her mother / pastor and father ,the Bishop of Jesus Welcome Church in Long Island always encouraged them to follow their dreams. Sharon’s brothers were truck and race car drivers, mechanics and some served in the military . They played a major influence on her love for cars. As an army veteran, she aims to uplift others along with fellow veterans, artists and small business owners and to hopefully create more opportunities for her family and community. In 2019 She established Women's Veteran Logistic Services.( WVLS). What started out as a T shirt idea inspired by her high school student Iyona to come up with something for the veterans to wear branched off into a transportation service featuring other unique perks such as entertainment promotion

Sudesh Singh—who gave his life to Jesus at the age of 17—suffered severe injuries to his face and eyes in a car accident two months after marrying his wife Vidya in 1989. Through the miraculous power of Jesus Christ, he regained his sight and his outlook on life changed completely. For three decades, Sudesh served at an Assemblies of God church in Queens, NY. The black population of Queens had grown to more than 10,000 people, many of whom were settling in Jamaica, and this YMCA soon welcomed them as members.The Jamaica YMCA is rich in history and culture. The facility has been housed in the same building for over 90 years and was originally used as a center for boys. Its expansive maze of rooms have been converted to meet the needs of the changing community, by providing member and non-members alike with a multitude of classes, programs, and services including guest rooms.

The Jamaica Center BID is a public-private partnership governed by a Board of Directors and derives its revenues from an annual assessment on all real property located within the boundaries of the BID. Much of Downtown Jamaica’s commercial district is managed, beautified, and promoted by the nonprofit Jamaica Center Business Improvement District “BID”. Our nonprofit seeks to make the Jamaica Center business district a thriving business hub and an enjoyable destination to shop, work, live and visit.
