We continue WH Griffith-Thomas’ “Methods of Bible Study” with Chapter 8, Christ in the Old Testament, in which we talk about prophecies, types, Christ in ritual, and why the OT is still relevant.. Apologies for the gap in the audio! A phone call kicked me off the software for a second!

On Laetare Sunday / Dominica Refectionis, we move from a focus on Spiritual Warfare to on the Grace of our Lord as he makes us sons of God and feeds us with himself. Text: Isaiah 66, Galatians 4, John 6.

In which we discuss the first Table of the Law with a special focus on using God’s name in vain and keeping the Sabbath

In which we discus Chapter 7 of “Methods of Bible Study” by WH Griffith-Thomas. Topics covered include dispensationalism, progressive revelation, and OT doctrines of God, Man, and Religion.

The two Books of Homilies are the official sermons of the Church of England in the 16th Century, endorsed by the 39 Articles of Religion. While they have unfortunately fallen into disuse, they are one of the classical elements of post-Reformation Anglican theology.
