Two Old Bloggers - Vikings vs Chargers - Kubiak: In Over His Head?
14/11/2021 Duración: 54minThe team has headed out to the west coast hoping that the results are different than the east coast. Your Minnesota Vikings are coming off another tough and maddening loss versus the Baltimore Ravens, and now will face the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers are headed up by a young franchise quarterback in Justin Herbert. They have two very good wide receivers in Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, along with a very shifty running back, Austin Ekeler. The Vikes’ defense will be understaffed with up to 3 starters and 2 backup players out. It will be a tough test in SoFi Stadium. Dave and Darren who both started blogging on the Purple decades ago will go over a way to possibly see how this game will go and if the Vikings can win, so get ready for the Climbing The Pocket and Daily Norseman pregame show! Breaking down the game with a brief look at the stats, then: 1. Containing Justin Hebert and the Chargers offense for an entire game? Vikings' defense has been good at times (like the first half against Ravens) but

Vikings Happy Hour
11/11/2021 Duración: 01h05minThe Minnesota Vikings are 3-5 and still only a game behind for getting into the playoffs. Will they? They travel to SoFi Stadium to play the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers are a team looking very similar to the Vikings, but they are winning their close games, mostly. Their offense has weapons including QB Justin Herbert and RB Austin Ekeler, some good wide receivers in Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, and Jaylen Guyton. They will be challenging the Vikings' defense still out of some starters. The Vikings also have equally good or better offense tools, if they use them, to match against a defense they should be able to score against. The big question is will they? Will plays beyond the script actually be effective? Will Kirk Cousins? News out of Eagan has been troubling today and could affect the game. From Dakota Dozier ending up in the hospital, and 29 players plus coaches being affected by the rules. It could get ugly quickly. Hopefully not. Then there is the breaking story concerning Dalvin Cook. That has

CTP's In The Huddle - Here We Go Again
10/11/2021 Duración: 44minYour Minnesota Vikings fell again in a close game to the Baltimore Ravens. Every game this season with the one exception of the victory over the Seattle Seahawks have been this way… close. How does the old saying go? “Playoff teams find a way to win close games.” The Vikings have won 2 and lost 5 of those. Fans see the fast starts and the inevitable stall for the rest of the game until they need a come from behind last-second drive. What is going on in between those times? Why are they consistently happening over and over again, week after week? The second game of this coast-to-coast road trip is looming against the Los Angeles Chargers. Will anything change or will we continue the season’s earned frustration theme of “Here We Go Again”? Jayson and Myles will try to tackle these issues with you, the fan. On tonight's show… Agenda: - It's literally the same sh*t for this team for 7 weeks now. - Lack of accountability from Kirk Cousins. - Make the case for _______ to stay. - Rick Spielman - Mike Zimmer

Two Old Bloggers - Vikings vs Ravens - Purple On Purple Crime
06/11/2021 Duración: 58minThe Minnesota Vikings are heading towards yet another important game. Your Vikings versus the Baltimore Ravens will happen Sunday. This is a battle of the NFL’s two purple teams, a Purple On Purple Crime no less. These are two teams that have been known to play down or up to their opponents this season so far. The difference is that the Ravens have won more and are sitting at 5-2 and are coming off their bye week. Two of the most tenured coaches in the league will battle with some of their squads missing and it might comes down to who will take the most advantage of that. Do you feel it could be the Vikings this time? Fun fact of history in this matchup is that the two teams have played 6 times total before this weekend. They are 3-3 over those 6 games, and the weird part is that the years the Vikings won, they went on to play in the NFC Championship. In the years they lost, their coach was fired. Mike Zimmer will be coaching for the win. Dave and Darren who both started blogging on the Purple decades ago wil

The Minnesota Vikings are looking to get to .500 again with a win on the road versus the 5-2, Lamar Jackson led, Baltimore Ravens. Will they? The team’s playoff chances still aren’t dead, but are they dying as the frustrating incompetent losses build up. Football continues! Your favorite team has started its 2021 campaign, the no excuses season. It is time to go further than any other Vikings team before it. Can they? Flip and Eric are here for the 21st episode of Viking Hot Takes on the Climbing The Pocket channel on Thursday night during half-time of the game. Following the usual format of the show, we put the usual 20 minutes on the clock and asked each other three questions: Flip asks 1. Can the defense overcome Danielle Hunter's injury? 2. When do we get to see Wyatt Davis? 3. How will MIN attack Baltimore's weakness? Eric asks 1. Is Mike Zimmer a dead coach walking? 2. Who is most to blame for the offensive struggles? 3. Which team is going to get the 7th seed in the NFC? Fan with us!!! Talk

Vikings Happy Hour
04/11/2021 Duración: 01h11minIt has been a few days since the embarrassing loss by the Minnesota Vikings at the hands of a Cooper Rush-led Dallas Cowboys. Fans are still disgruntled about it. Is the 2021 season, for all intents and purposes, done? There is still time to squeak into the playoffs, but does anyone expect that? Even if the team does because the bottom 2/3rds of the NFC is worse, is it enough for people to keep their jobs? Right now, there are arguments to fire Mike Zimmer as head coach, get rid of the check-down king, Kirk Cousins [and free up some money in the process], and get a new GM to hire a new coach, and that can actually draft a QB and other key positions. All of that, and we have a road trip to play against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. Whatever could go wrong? Matt and Ryan will be here to vent a little with you, then answer your questions, and together hold a Vikings Happy Hour therapy session. Grab your favorite beverage and join the conversation! Vikings vs Cowboys - CTP’s: The Final Score
01/11/2021 Duración: 39minThe Minnesota Vikings were 3-3 as they went into the contest vs the 5-1 Cowboys. Both teams are came off their early season byes. The extra week couldn’t come soon enough to get some rest and hopefully get fully healthy. There are still some questions and with the Vikings’ Patrick Peterson out and on IR due to a pulled hammy, and Michael Pierce listed as out already, how will the Vikings defense fair against the #1 scoring offense in the league? Well, that Cowboys offense may be out of their signal caller, Dak Prescott. Going into the game [he was], as of Friday he was listed as questionable, due to a calf injury. Can back Cooper Rush do the same as Prescott? Pretty much. The Vikings defense surely will have something to say about that. …And it wasn’t good. Tonights Final Score will be a special one, not only due to hopefully a Vikings win [which they didn’t], but because the crew tonight will comprised of the Climbing The Pocket’s original crew. Jayson, Myles, Yinka and JR will join you fans as they react t

CTP's In The Huddle - Vikings Realistic Expectations
27/10/2021 Duración: 54minYour Minnesota Vikings are rolling out of their bye. They will be hosting the Dallas Cowboys coming out of theirs. What are the Vikings realistic expectations moving forward? Stephen Weatherly was traded to the Denver Broncos. Was that a good thing? Will his depth be missed? Was the trade price worth it? Speaking of trades, the deadline is quickly approaching on November 2nd. Will the Vikings be active this year? Does it depend on how they do against the Cowboys, Sunday night from US Bank Stadium? The next 4 weeks of the schedule, we should really find out what we have in this team. Are they really good and competitive, or just a mash of meh level play and decisions without the outstanding bits never really gelling and amounting to something? What do you think? Join the crew led by Jayson as it is all discussed with you, the fan. Paul Catalina, the host of the BLEAV in the Cowboys podcast with the guys. Great conversation will ensue. SKOL! CTP Mondays - Halloween Horror?
26/10/2021 Duración: 59minIt’s Monday and your Minnesota Vikings are coming off their bye. In the Sunday night game, they will host the Dallas Cowboys coming off theirs. Will Dak Prescott play? That could be the linchpin as to answering the question of which team will US Bank Stadium be a house of horrors for. From the Cowboys’ O-line and their weapons, with a healthy Prescott, they can be deadly. Will they? Will the Mike Zimmer defense scheme a way to shut them down, especially without Patrick Peterson? Can the Vikes’ offense stay aggressive throughout the entire game? Will Kirk Cousins come out hot? Can they outscore good teams like Dallas? All these and more will be some of the topics covered. There is a little echo in the beginning, but that does get cleared up, so plow right through like Dalvin Cook slicing through the Cowboys' D-Line. Other talking points for tonight’s show: - Which O-line will dominate? - Which running back combo will be more effective? - Can Mike Zimmer have Bashaud Breeland and Cameron Dantzler shut down

CTP Mondays - Confidence Building
19/10/2021 Duración: 01h04minIt’s Monday and the Vikings are back at .500 and very much alive [at least at times]. Your Minnesota Vikings defeating the Carolina Panthers in overtime. It is now onto the bye week, but before that, let’s talk how the Vikes offensive put 571 yards on the 2nd ranked defense in the league, more than doubling what they were allowing this season to date. That builds confidence. The defense had a decent day except for the two fluky plays on the final drive that the Panthers tied it up. They are steadily getting good, especially after the first two games. That too, builds confidence. Then take clutch Kirk Cousins making things happen when it is most needed. That pass to KJ Osborn for the walk off win was in the perfect spot. Old Kirk would would have checked down, but he now has trust in his WR3 to make the play. That’s confidence. Other talking points for tonight’s show: - Christian Darrisaw’s performance . - Bye week fixes. - Mike Zimmer coaching decisions. - A look ahead to the next 4 weeks. - State o
