Two Old Bloggers - Must Win Again!
16/10/2021 Duración: 01h07minThe Minnesota Vikings are heading towards another must win game against the Carolina Panthers. They won fugly against the Detroit Lions last week in which some fans were routing for them to actually lose. Their thoughts is that it will speed up the “blow it all up” process. Mathematically however, the team can still have a successful season and will need one for Mike Zimmer and his staff, and possibly Rick Spielman and his to stay employed. The next step in that is to beat the Panthers on Sunday, but can they? Darren and Dave will take a look at how the two teams match up against each other. Dave and Darren who both started blogging on the Purple decades ago will go over a way to possibly start a winning streak, so get ready for the Climbing The Pocket and Daily Norseman pregame show! Talking points for the Lions-Vikings preview show: 1) Head to head rankings. 2) Team leaders. 3) Will Sam Darnold continue to turnover the football? 4) Can the Vikings run blocking get back on track, especially with Dalvin C

CTP's In The Huddle - Can They Right The Ship?
06/10/2021 Duración: 46minWhat a difference a week makes. …” Hey! That’s what we said last week!” From a good win over the Seattle Seahawks to an absolute beating by the Cleveland Browns. The score may not have shown that with the Vikes losing only 14-7, but the play sure did. Your Minnesota Vikings are now 1-3 at the quarter pole [ahem… there are 17 games now]. There is talent on the team, but they have yet to pull it all together for more than just one whole game. The longboat has capsized, but there is still time to right it and sail onto a major raiding and pillaging run, but can they? The episode art for today’s show is of the 2017 defense huddled and listening to Anthony Barr. Mike Zimmer had it at the top of the game. They were good. With the word of Anthony Barr coming back to play this weekend against the Detroit Lions, can he be the key to rekindling that type of outstanding play? Come join the conversation with the guys as they discuss the Vikings, these topics, and more. SKOL! On tonight's show… Agenda: The team at the qu

03/10/2021 Duración: 27minThe Vikings are 1-2 coming off their first win. Will they get their second one toady? Nope! From the crowd in US Bank Stadium and improving play by the Minnesota Vikings, they will will attempt to defeat the even better team of the Cleveland Browns. Nope! With Dalvin Cook looking to play, even first rounder Christian Darrisaw seeing snaps on Special Teams, the Vikes will test themselves against a very good Kevin Stefanski and Baker Mayfield led team. Can the O-line improve some more keeping Kirk Cousins clean and opening high holes in the running game? Nope! Can Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson continue their touchdown streaks? Just JJ. Can the Purple be victorious? Nope! Catch us at the end of the game as we go live! 1) Highlights 2) Lowlights 3) Speed round and your questions 4) What’s ahead The Final Score [the name for CTP’s Postgame show] is ready for the season. CTP Mondays - Kirktember & Vikings vs Seahawks
28/09/2021 Duración: 01h06minIt is victory Monday and turning it purple will be a lot easier for Tyler and Deshawn. Your Minnesota Vikings, with some outstanding play from the offense, wring the necks of the Seattle Seahawks 30-17. Kirk Cousins played “the best game” per Mike Zimmer. It may not have been statistics-wise, it definitely showed on the leadership level and even taking off script plays and turning them into successes. The ball was spread around to multiple Vikings weapons. Alexander Mattison had a great day starting for an injured Dalvin Cook with a 170+ yard performance and over 100 on the ground. Justin Jefferson got to do the Griddy in front of fans for the first time. Adam Thielen is the definition of red zone clutch. The offensive line continued to improve as a unit. Greg Joseph was dead on on all 6 kicks. The offense and special teams were humming. The defense to a while to get going though. Bashaud Breeland was exposed again and again, but there were adjustments made during the game and at halftime and the D ended up s

Vikings vs Seahawks - CTP’s: The Final Score
27/09/2021 Duración: 24minThe Vikings are 0-2 going into today. Their backs are against the wall and the winning needs to start! They did just that. Mike Zimmer led his team out for the home opener. US Bank Stadium was loud and rocking’! The SKOL Chant rained down, and I wonder if we heard chants for Odin, like from the Purple of old? Kirk Cousins continued his good, down right outstanding, play. Did the defense feast? No, but they did make adjustments that kept Seattle from scoring in the second half. All this as the Minnesota Vikings faced off against the Seattle Seahawks. These games count, and we’re live at the last whistle. The Final Score crew and you the fans will discuss it here! 1) Highlights 2) Lowlights 3) Speed round and your questions 4) What’s ahead The Final Score [the name for CTP’s Postgame show] is ready for the season. Two Old Bloggers - Time to Win!
26/09/2021 Duración: 01h01minThe Minnesota Vikings have now lost 2 games in a row by a total of 4 points. People say it was because of just two plays. Do you believe that? If you win on a lot more plays, these two aren’t necessary. It is however for health of the Vikings’ season that they grab victory against the Seattle Seahawks. This has been a team that has beaten Mike Zimmer’s Vikings every time they have played. Will this game be any different? This will be the first time the Seahawks have taken on the Vikings at US Bank Stadium. The stadium, packed full of fans chanting Odin, and SKOL, will make a difference. They should have the Seahawks offensive linemen false starting. The Vikings defense which has yet to jell in two games, can now feed off the fans making noise, cheering, and down right amped up energy that flows within that glorious bowl and ETFE roof. Russell Wilson is getting older, but may be wiser and can still hurt you. He has two wide receivers in DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett that the purple secondary will have to shut d
