Our Minnesota Vikings played a great game against Atlanta in Week 1. But we didn't see everything we needed to for full buy-in. Week 2 could change all that. They just need to win against Green Bay.  Here's how the injury report looks: Stefon Diggs is back in full health, but Anthony may have a knee issue. Mackensie Alexander and Pat Elflein both missed Wednesday's practice. They should be monitored this week. Mike Hughes was limited, which is encouraging. It's good to have Brett Jones back and I see early optimism for Irv Smith Jr. Key players in Week 2: - Dalvin Cook showed all the promise in Week 1, and he'll need to factor into the passing game too, with Blake Martinez covering him. - Kyle Rudolph didn't do much against Atlanta. Can he win, going against the strong Adrian Amos? - Anthony Harris flashed again and brings a new element to the Minnesota defense. Good morning Horners! The Vikings kicking situation has caused heartburn for many fans. GMG’s Dave and Drew talk about it. Going into the game against the Atlanta Falcons the kicker competition is settled for at least now.   Kare Vedvik is gone and that experiment cost a future 5th round pick. Of course he was picked up by the New York Jets and promptly makes a 69 yarder. Oy! Dan Bailey has secured his second season with the Vikings after a season only hitting 75% of his field goal attempts. Daniel Carlson was fired after the second game at Green Bay in 2018 and moved to the Oakland Raiders where he has hit virtually all of his kicks.   There is something under the Mike Zimmer time as head coach that has affected the kickers. Theories fly about how they are dealt with and their strength of their psyches. Kickers in the Zimmer era include: Dan Bailey, Daniel Carlson, Kai Forbath, and Blair Walsh. The Minnesota Vikings look healthy. So far so good as we head into the fourth preseason game on Thursday and find out who's going to survive roster cuts on Friday. Minnesota Vikings beat the Arizona Cardinals 20-9, but first a quick recap around the league: Andrew Luck retires at 29, and the colts allow him to keep bonus money. Lamar Miller goes down for the season with an ACL injury. Oakland Raiders and Green Bay Packers preseason game reduced to 80-yard field because of safety concerns. The Vikings somehow unsuccessfully challenged a fumble (stadium angle was perfect). Off game for the offense in general, flow seemed to lack. Olabisi Johnson is looking like the WR3 of the roster, and a lock on the 53. Pass protection continued to struggle, but maybe not all the line's fault. Mike Boone continues to string nice games together, what does it mean for the final 53? Kyle Sloter has another nice outing, is he QB2?
