As we head into the home stretch, enroute to the Playoffs, things are starting to round into form for our Leafs. With good showings from our veteran group and new addition Nick Foligno, the Ladies are looking forward to the Team wrapping things up, and clinching home ice for the second season. It's been another up and down period for our Leafs, and with only 11 games to go (10 as we publish), Chris is feeling a little stressed! Maybe you are too. As we approach the home stretch, heading into the playoffs, there is still much to be sorted out, and improvement needed in many areas. Add new injury woes, with Hyman out and continued concern for Matthews and our Goaltenders' health, let's just say the nerves are a little bit frayed. This latest series of games saw our Buds back on the East Coast, sleeping in their own beds, enjoying some home cooking, and building on the wins they've started to pile up. The view from atop the NHL standings is looking pretty sweet! With goal streaks, assist streaks, and a hat trick, there's not much to complain about in Leafland!  Still, with key injuries to Thornton and Simmonds, and some kinks that have yet to be ironed out,  Sheldon Keefe and Co., continue to tinker with the line up, trying  to find that right mix. The falling leaves, and brisk air of October normally signals the start of a new NHL season. This year, as we know, is unlike any other.
