On October 25, 2022, the Catholic Diocese of Buffalo and Office of the New York State Attorney General announced a settlement in the lawsuit filed November 2000 by the latter, in relation to how the diocese had handled past sexual abuse claims against it. Among the actions taken by the diocese has been the introduction of Melissa Potzler as its new Child Protection Policy Coordinator. Here she discusses her role with WNY Catholic's Michael Mroziak.
