The Diocese of Buffalo and New York Attorney General's Office announced a settlement Tuesday, October 25, 2022, that concludes the lawsuit brought against the Diocese by the Attorney General in November 2020, related to the past handling of clergy sexual abuse allegations. The Diocese held a news conference, heard here, to explain the agreement. Representing the Diocese were Bishop Michael Fisher, newly appointed Child Protection Policy Coordinator Melissa Potzler, and attorney Todd Geremia.
