The final 12 books of the Old Testament contain the writings of prophets of Israel — men whom God set aside as messengers to that nation. These scriptures are often called the Minor Prophets. However, that’s no slight against their contents’ importance, but simply a reference to their size. Each book conveys pivotal messages about God’s justice, righteousness, compassion, and love for His people, and they reveal the nature and character of His relationship with humanity. It’s in Part 1 of our sermon series called Minor Prophets Major Lessons that we’ll look at the first four: Hosea, Joel, Amos, and Obadiah.
