Ellen Kamhi talks with Dr. Robert Verkerk, an expert in health, agricultural and environmental sustainability with nearly 40 years of experience in the non-profit sector, academia and as a consultant. His extensive academic background in ecology and sustainable agriculture, including an MSc, PhD and postdoctoral fellowship at Imperial College London, helped him develop his passion for applying ecological and sustainability principles to healthcare. In April 2023, Dr. Verkerk took the helm as Executive and Scientific Director of the Alliance for Natural Health USA after serving on the organization’s board as Scientific Director for almost two decades. www.ANH-USA.org
