The celebrities you see on television or on the big screen are often very different from the characters they play. Karen Hudson will share some surprising insights about celebrities she has met during her career in show business. Karen Hudson's life story might be titled "From Out-House to Penthouse”. Karen grew up on a farm in Kansas where she attended a one-room school that was built in the 1880's. The school had no running water and out-house toilets. The Penthouse would be her 25 year career as a Costumer in the Hollywood Television and Film Industry. Karen's claim to fame is that her name appears on the credits of the pilot and every episode for "Hill Street Blues" as the Women's Key Costumer. Karen began designing Opera costumes as an under-graduate at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas. She continued studying at The University of Texas at Austin where she received a graduate-degree in Costume Design and Directing.
