As I think about it, it’s really a rather simple story. Rich wanted something. He prayed for it. He got it.  Did Rich pray directly to anyone of the three in the Trinity? No. The one he approached for his intercessory prayer happens to be the one known as the Saint of impossible causes. Here, God is awakening us to a basic truth. However you approach God, He is listening. In this case, it was the communion of Saints who were asked to intercede for Rich. Some ask, "Why would you pray to dead people?" Well, first off, they are not dead. Even Jesus was seen by some of His apostles talking to ‘dead’ people, namely, Moses and Elijah.
