“A Pact with the Devil”, Pat Robinson has done it again! He has put his conservative foot in his conservative mouth. It’s no secret that the Haitian people are the only surviving group of former slaves to have successfully fought for and kept their independence from slavery. It is now resurfacing and apparent that certain groups, organizations and persons in particular in America still hold resentment for the Haitian Revolution which lasted from 1791-1803. Family throughout the history of the Christian Religion violence has and continues to be used as a tool or method of control. In this case Mr. Robertson is scape-goating on a natural disaster and claiming that is it God’s work, an act of retaliation against a group of people that rightfully and successfully fought against the brutal institution of Slavery. In this country many of the same social measures of control are still in place and functioning to date: Child Support, Criminal Justice System, Civil Tort “system, School System and our Religious System!
