During his opening statement, Kennedy emphasized that he is “not anti-vaccine” and said he had no interest in taking anyone’s food away from them. Kennedy joked that, in fact, his “boss” is a big fan of McDonald’s and Diet Coke. During one heated exchange, Senator Elizabeth Warren baselessly accused Kennedy of potentially killing children in return for a paycheck—because he may sue big pharmaceutical companies if confirmed.
