A private man, he finds his biography to be a subject which creates writer's block. It suffices to say John was born and raised in Montana, where he never dreamed he would be writing about himself in the third person. He later attended Bellevue Community College and the University of Washington, where his professors revealed that he was a gifted student. This revelation came as a shock to John Martin, as he sometimes has trouble finding his keys. A persistent thought troubled John's mind for years: If he was one of the smart ones, his species was in trouble. He decided to do all in his power to save humanity from itself.
