Fr Tony Percy says that Compline, night prayer in the Liturgy of the Hours, contains the beautiful canticle of Simeon. Compline is simple and quick, suitable just before we retire for sleep. See the night as symbolic of our death. It is appropriate, therefore, that we complete each day with prayer.
