Fr Tony Percy says the essence of the 40 days of Lent is recognizing our sins with honesty, seeking forgiveness, and embracing God's mercy, but only the grace of God will bring about repentance and change. We will not be able to do it on our own strength. The ‘narrow path’ is: Asking for forgiveness, receiving mercy. That will be 40 days well spent
