Missions is the continuation of Christ’s work to establish his Kingdom on earththrough the preaching of the gospel and is the central task his church mustengage through the power of his Spirit in obedience to his command.“Missions” can be summed up by the phrase in v. 8: “You will be my witnesses”.1. Witnesses for Christ tell the truth about Him to others.2. We witness because Jesus commanded us to do so.3. We witness through the power of the Holy Spirit.a. By believing the promise of the Spiritb. By expectantly praying for the Spiritc. By submitting to the Spirit’s plan for our witness4. We witness everywhere to everyone, from our home base out to all nations.
