The term Christian has worn many cloaks across time. But if we peel back the layers of doctrine, institution, and identity... at its essence, to be a Christian originally meant: One who follows the way, the life, and the teachings of Jesus the Christ. Not Jesus as a distant icon. But Christ as a living frequency. As divine love embodied. As the pattern of awakened humanity made visible. The word Christian was first used in Antioch almost as a label of curiosity: They said… “These are the ones who walk like him. Who love like him. Who forgive like him. Who speak truth to power like him.” To be a Christian was not about correct belief. It was about radical embodiment. It was about becoming like Christ. The early ones didn’t cling to dogma. They broke bread. They healed the sick. They welcomed the outcast. They shared all things in common. They didn’t live as if the kingdom of heaven was coming.
