Gary Braasch spoke at the Green Cities Conference in Oakland, Ca. in May 2005 where this interview took place after seeing his presentation which included his incredible photos. Braasch is a photo journalist who has been photographing and documenting ecosystems of the earth in all their beauty and complexity for many years. Since he visited many of the same places from the Arctic to Antarctica, from the glaciers to the oceans, across all climate zones year after year he noticed the extreme changes in temperature and its effects on the landscape.
