Sinopsis
Dad’s Market at 64 Garnet Street in Wallaceburg is preparing to shut its doors for good, as the owners transition the property back into a full-scale heated storage facility. The local shop is currently clearing out its expansive 30,000-square-foot inventory, packed with both new and used merchandise ranging from lawn ornaments and tools to furniture, fencing, fire pits and antiques. Customers have until mid-July to browse through the wide selection. The market will remain open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with final auctions scheduled for July 11, 12 and 13. By Monday, July 14, the building will be empty, as the space is repurposed exclusively for storage of boats, trailers and vehicles. Dad’s Market has been a destination for treasure hunters and bargain-seekers alike. The closure marks the end of an era — but not the end of the building’s usefulness. With the transition to storage, the site is set to serve a new purpose for the seasons ahead.
