[Sung Psalm: 147] Here in chapter 2, Paul begins a series of questions that will run through chapter 11. You can outline these central ten chapters of Romans around Paul's questions. And we'll highlight them as we go through the book. Our passage today flows out of the principle stated in verse 13 that "it is not the hearers of the law that are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified." What does it mean to be a doer of the law? It does not mean that you never sin! After all, the law itself taught Israel how to offer sacrifices for sin. So being a doer of the law cannot mean someone who never sins. So what does it mean to be a "doer of the law"? Put simply, it means that you not only hear what Gods says, but you do it! When God says, "repent of your sins and believe in Jesus," you respond by repenting of your sins and believing in Jesus. When God says, "love the Lord your God with all your heart," you respond by loving God. When God says, "love your neighbor as your yourself," you
