[Sung Psalm: 19] When we do not love and fear and honor God as our God, then God gives us over to sins against others. And this is why our repentance must always start where the prodigal son did: "I have sinned against heaven and before you" (Luke 15:18). If you think about it, this is why modern people don't see a problem with sexual sin. They don't believe that there is such a thing as sin against God, and so as long as "nobody gets hurt" there is no sin. (And on the flip side, if I feel hurt, then someone must have sinned against me). We have exchanged the glory of God for images. We have exchanged the truth about God for a lie. And so all we have is life under the sun. There is no room in the modern world for sin against God...
