In 1 Samuel 30, David and his men face three temptations in the wilderness: materialism, militarism and moralism. And as we see tonight, even as his men spoke of stoning him, David "strengthened himself in the LORD his God," and inquired of the LORD. And unlike Saul, God answers David, and told him to overtake the Amalekites and destroy them. David will do what Saul would not!
