The Irish Blood Transfusion Service claims it's playing "catch-up" to meet demand as it urges people in North Clare to give blood this week. A blood donation clinic is being held in the Falls Hotel in Ennistymon today and tomorrow from 4:50pm to 8:10pm. The service says it requires 3,000 blood donations each week and while all blood types are needed, O negative and B negative are particularly in demand.
