Sermon Series: More Than A SeasonWeek 2: Representing Jesus, Representing the Church September 6th, 2016 It's hard to represent UCF football when your team went 0-12 the previous season. No one would ever take a job in a school that is not in an upward swing but in a downward spiral of despair. It's hard to represent an institution that is failing. And so it is with the church. Sometimes it's hard to represent the church, represent Jesus in a world where Christians have been more hurtful than helpful. Tonight we are going to look at how we can live faithfully in a culture that no longer give us "home court advantage." I believe God is using this season in the church to humble us. But we would rather win than have to do the hard work of being the underdog. But when you are the underdog you are trusting in God more.
