Dr. Evans, who graduated from high school in Williamsburg, Virginia, began his professional career at East Carolina University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He then conducted cancer research at the National Institute of Health before returning to graduate school at the Medical College of Virginia, where he received a Master of Science degree in Microbiology and Immunology. Dr. Evans continued his education, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia in 1982. He has also served as adjunct faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University.   Since beginning his dental career, Dr. Evans has continually added to his knowledge base by attending professional educational courses, adding up to more than 1900 hours of advanced education.
