Melissa Joy is the President of Matrix Energetics International and is also the Co-Instructor of the Matrix Energetics system of transformation. She has played an integral role with the organization since 2007 and began coteaching seminars with Dr. Bartlett in 2008. Joy embodies the principles of Matrix Energetics and heart-centered living and epitomizes that change is readily accessible to anyone. Prior to Matrix Energetics, Joy spent thirteen years in the pharmaceutical industry, both marketing and developing drugs. She eventually came to realize that a career in marketing drugs was no longer meaningful to her. She wanted to continue helping people but without the deleterious effects of medications. This began her exploration into holistic health and alternative medicine. Her search led her to a Matrix Energetics seminar in early 2006.
