In chapter 9 of our verse-by-verse study of the Book of Romans, the Apostle Paul made it clear that if you believe in Jesus Christ for salvation, it means that God chose you … you didn’t choose Him. Even so, as we heard last time when we started looking at chapter 10, Paul goes on to explains that we are not senseless pawns in the operation of our own salvation. We each have an important part to play. So far we’ve heard what our part does NOT include … and that includes a religious fervency that is based on adherence to rules and traditions.
