Members of Rocky Mount Baptist Church share their thoughts and experiences from recent Missions trips. Susan Lynch's Thoughts on Her Missions Trip to Nicaragua I came to missions backwards. I knew that I was missing something in my life, but tried to save myself by helping others. My first trip last fall left me even more broken because we only touched people for a few short minutes and left them. It wasn’t until I accepted Jesus as my savior that I realized He is theirs too. We as individuals cannot save anyone, only God can do that if we choose to accept that He sent his son to save us. Then, if we are willing, He uses our hands, feet and voices to share His light with all the World. Luke 8:16-18 - No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light. For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad. Take heed there
