Island Drug Podcast

Compounded medications are something that we prepare daily here at island drug, but are not available at every pharmacy, though in my opinion they should be. Compounded preparations are essentially customized prescriptions to meet an individual’s need. Just as every person is different, so are their medications needs (ie; Two people on the same medication, only one strength is available on the market at the time and it works for person, but not the other). A compounding pharmacy, such as Island Drug, and the patient’s physician could create a medication dose specifically for that individual.
