I got these 4 levels from Damayd John who created FUBU and is on Shark Tank. He does know about brands since he created the FUBU brand and acording to him he got his big break when rap stars would sport his brand on their music videos and movie featured it called “Any Given Sunday.” The first stage of a brand is it's an item. It's plain with nothing to distinguish it like a paper bag or a plastic bowl with no special tubberware type features. You can easily replace it if you lose it. The second stage is a label. A label has got a little more to it. Maybe it’s a flannel shirt you pick up on the sale rack at Walmart, or a cheap pocket calculator you find at Rite Aid. There’s a name on the product, but it’s not a name you know, it’s not a name you reach
