In this bonus episode, we're talking about the recent failure of 60 Minutes to properly represent women in a special they did on girls in tech. Instead of highlighting girl-focused organizations such as Girls Who Code, they chose to highlight a male-run organization Code.org, and omit the expertise and experience of the numerous women-led organizations working for significant change. In response, Founder and CEO of Girls Who Code, Reshma Saujani, wrote a powerful piece on Medium calling out 60 Minutes for failing to properly represent women and girls in their segment (on the eve of Women's History Month no less!).
