In the Christmas Eve sermon, I shared that the birth of Christ is a wonderful and magnificent celebration, but without the resurrection, it would be just another birth story. We are reminded that we cannot separate Christmas from Easter. The birth of Christ is told in light of the death, burial, and resurrection.
