Miami Herald’s Linda Robertson and Franco Ordoñez, a McClatchy D.C. White House correspondent, joined us this week to discuss the announced deal between the MLB and the Cuban Federation. This deal would allow players from Cuba to enter the United States in order to play in the MLB. Robertson claims that, “the whole purpose of the deal is to eliminate the dangerous and careless smuggling journey that some players [from Cuba] are forced to take…” to enter the United States.
