Washington Post Sports Reporter Jacob Bogage joined David to discuss baseball card fraud. Bogage writes: Baseball card collectors suspected rampant fraud in their hobby. Now the FBI is investigating.-- The green stadium seats shown on the baseball card are empty as Stan Musial, wearing a crisp white uniform, grips a bat and digs in. His eyes gaze toward the pitcher over his right shoulder, his white teeth peeking out from under a grin. It’s almost as though on this vividly colored card, issued in 1952 by the Bowman Gum Company, “Stan the Man” has spotted a fat fastball. The card’s lone obvious blemish is a stray black print mark on the white frame. Even with the defect, it sold in an online auction in late 2017 for $2,800. Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Famer Arturo "Thunder" Gatti, who died in 2009 under suspicious circumstances, celebrated what would have been his 47th birthday on April 15.   Mike Sciarra, a close friend and brother of Arturo, remembers the boxing great and will share some stories with us tonight.  Since Arturo's death in 2009 (or as Sciarra puts it "murder"), Mike Sciarra continues to drive 3-hours to Atlantic City---every year, with no fanfare--- to place blue and white ribbons on light poles on the Boardwalk across from Boardwalk Hall where Gatti fought many of his most memorable fights. Certainly Gülen has a lot to answer for, and his answers aren’t satisfying to most.”   She continues, “His group was aiming to take power – they have openly said that they wanted to infiltrate government, all institutions, and eventually take power. Miami Herald’s Linda Robertson and Franco Ordoñez, a McClatchy D.C. White House correspondent, joined us this week to discuss the announced deal between the MLB and the Cuban Federation. This deal would allow players from Cuba to enter the United States in order to play in the MLB.
