Simi Shonowo is a photographer who prides herself on brand imagery and the ability to tell a story, not just take a picture, with her images through her company, Uche Brand Imagery. Simi was born in the US, but at an early age moved back to her parents’ hometown in Nigeria. She was raised there and attended school until graduating high school at 16. Being the oldest in her family, she was responsible for the care of her younger siblings. This and many other cultural differences brought about how she continues to show up in the world.
