Oakwood Church

The day that I asked Jesus Christ into my life, I started growing. I learned early that it was important to have a strong foundation. There is an oak tree in our front yard. They guess that it is 280 to 300 years old. It is massive and able to support great weight because of its extensive root system. This system covers a large part of our front yard and feeds this mighty oak, helping it to grow. We grow like this. Our root system is our foundation. It is where the nourishment comes from that causes us to grow. It is what holds us up and helps get us through the storms of life. Our problem: sometimes we get away from what was feeding us. When we started - we were those strong, I will never quit, change the world Christians. We drift, don’t eat right, go through a drought, and start asking why I don’t feel it anymore.
