Sinopsis
We present the first of a regular series of deep-dive discussions, in which a guest speaker presents a perspective on the trademark world, which is then debated by our regular panellists. Our guest speaker for the first discussion is Corynne McSherry, legal director at the Electronic Frontier Foundation, who proposes that the application of trademark law in the online environment, and lack of a safe harbour for intermediaries, allows a number of brands to silence free speech. Our panellists are Greg Shatan, partner at Abelman Frayne & Schwab and president of ICANN’s Intellectual Property Constituency (IPC), and Anderson Duff, a litigation associate at Manatt. - Don't forget to subscribe!
