Happy Tuesday! Today we dive into the hot water of salary and expectations. The golf business is losing great people because they are not keeping up with market for talent. We have to understand that with technology comes greater reach, however, with a consistent and caring staff comes relationships. Relationships are the key to increasing the Lifetime Value of the Golfer and we are drastically falling short on this metric. If a Team Leader at a fast food restaurant get more $/benefits than an assistant golf professional, it is going to be tough in 15 years when we need a developed staff to run the facility. As we grow the interest in the game on a global scale, it is IMPERATIVE that we have a staff at the course that can welcome and support the spirit of the game. Without a qualified staff, we are going to see a drop in engagement because of the poor experience that the customers have.
