Caleb is working with polar bears so Danny invited Andrew Steier, friend and youth pastor at Switzerland Community Church to talk about mascots, Super Bowl commercials and discipleship and evangelism. On this week’s episode, Danny invites Andrew Steier to come talk about the various goings on of the world. First we talk about how NHL mascot Gritty is in hot legal trouble for punching a child in the back. Then we talk about how beloved Mr. Peanut has died in a very macabre car crash. More updates are coming but we suspect Gritty was involved. Then we talk about the process of discipleship and evangelism and how both are needed for a healthy spiritual life to bloom. The metrics for children and youth ministry may be off, but the urgency to activate students for their faith is now as we seek to teach, train, and disciple people to reach the people in their context. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how
