Jerry is the County Veterans Service Officer in Yamhill County. He walked us through an overview of the many benefits available to veterans and their spouses, such as pension, and burial expenses, and especially the Aid & Attendance benefit, which he covered in detail. It is designed to help veterans with long-term care assistance. Jerry also mentioned that navigating the VA website to search for benefits on your own is challenging, but County Veterans Services Officers, such as himself, provide their services for free.
