The apostle Paul and Barnabas are sent out on their first missionary journey and they strategically begin in the synagogues of the Jews. As one would expect, the proclamation of the gospel was not well received by all. Paul confronts a magician, Elymas, who opposed them miraculously striking him blind. Seeing what had occurred, even the procounsel believed. Knowing that our proclamation could put us at odds with others cannot deter us from sharing our faith. 1. It is intentional (vs. 1-3) 2.
