Strict Jewish Christians back in Jerusalem criticize Peter for having associated with one such as Cornelius. Peter gives testimony to what God had done and all fell silent and glorified God. Persecution in Jerusalem had caused a great number of believers to be scattered and a church began in a city called Antioch. It was in this city that the disciples were first called Christians.
