Maundy Thursday commemorates Jesus mandate to celebrate what we have come to know as Holy Communion. Maundy is a Latin word meaning command. The Last Supper connects us to the Exodus - deliverance from slavery and now, Jesus is going to deliver us from the slavery to sin.
