He helps us in our weaknesses and makes intercessions for us with groaning which cannot be uttered as we pray in the Spirit. If you read further in Romans 8, verse 27, it throws more light on the subject, it says "And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God."
