Up and coming digital media creator Darren Summersby discusses his changes and growth as an artist in today’s industry and his adapting to it with the COVID-19 pandemic. Darren Summersby was born and raised in North Bay, Ontario, Canada. First introduced to performing arts at the age of 7, Darren has taken part in over 50 productions both on stage and off. During his high school years, Darren took part in the Sears Drama Festival (now the NTS Drama Festival) winning both Awards of Merit for Stage Managing and Award of Excellence at the the Distract and Provincial levels for his role of Larry Dixon in Colours in the Storm (The Company). Darren is trained in vocals, having won several first place ribbons at the Kiwanis Music Festival.Darren’s interest in film began in 2010 when he was cast in the short film The Autumn Girl and 2012 for the horror-musical film Stage Fright with Minnie Driver and Meat Loaf. From there, he became his passion in the film industry. In his senior year of high school, Darren won gold
