As we see individuals or nations forget God, the less fortunate, and destroy nature we see the terrible end results, and are warned to avoid those same mistakes.  You are gaining some talents?! What does your knowledge, business, guns, voice, money, freedom, influence, represent/mean for others? The reality is when others before had these things it often meant something bad for everyone.
