We love to imagine great success and big dreams for our future; we love to call this faith. Most of what we fantasize about does not come true. And then God gets the blame - either for not making our fantasies come true, or for allowing the bad things that we didn't plan on. These false expectations of God end up damaging our actual faith, or possibly killing our relationship with Him altogether.
